Qualifying Times
As an official International Travel Partner for the TCS New York City Marathon, when you purchase a package with Adventure Time you are not required to run a qualifying time (or fundraise) however, you must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to compete.
Parade of Nations
The TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony kicks off marathon weekend with a vibrant celebration of global diversity. This free event features a spectacular parade honouring runners from around the world, capped off with an unforgettable fireworks display.
Race Week
The TCS New York City Marathon is more than a one-day event—it’s a weeklong celebration of runners and their families, friends, and fans! Check out what’s in store, and stay tuned for updates.
Pace Setters
Pacers will be on hand to guide participants toward specific goal times over the 26.2 miles. Pace Team members will lead groups at various paces between 6:40 per mile and 14:18 per mile (between a 2:55 finish and a 6:15 finish).
Abbott Dash
The day before the TCS New York City Marathon, the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K sees more than 10,000 runner’s line-up at 8:30am outside the United Nations to race through Midtown Manhattan.
Expo & Race Packets
All runners must attend the TCS New York City Marathon Health and Wellness Expo on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday prior to the Marathon to pick up their race numbers in person. Another person is not allowed to pick up your race pack on your behalf. The expo will be held at Jacob Javits Convention Centre located at Halls 3B and 3E, 11th Avenue at West 35th Street, Manhattan.
Weather Conditions
In November, the temperatures drop dramatically around 55°F/ 12°C to reach 40°F – 5/6°C at night, snow can already make a first appearance, and if that happens, you do not want to miss a snowy Central Park. Rainy days continue to be scarce during the month, and during the first few weeks, you might still catch the show of colours changing in the city parks and along the avenues.
