Race Information
Race Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025
Race Time: 9:00 AM
Course
The race begins at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, guiding runners through some of the city’s most iconic avenues and squares, including the Place de la Concorde and Rue de Rivoli. Participants will pass the Place de la Bastille, enjoy the greenery of the Bois de Vincennes, and take in views of landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower. Over 23,000 international runners are expected to join this marathon.
Temperature
Average temperatures during the race range from 10°C to 17°C.
Entry Fee: Marathon Tours & Travel, as an official Tour Partner of the Paris Marathon, offers a special guaranteed race entry fee. Note that entry only is not available.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 21 years old. In 2024, there were approximately 50,000 registered runners. A medical waiver signed by a physician is required for all runners.
Time Limit
The course must be completed within six and a half hours.
Number Pickup
Race bibs can be picked up at the Salon du Running (Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles) from Thursday, April 10 through Saturday, April 12. The expo features more than 200 exhibitors and operates during the following hours:
- Thursday, April 10: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Friday, April 11: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday, April 12: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Difficulty
The course ranges from easy to moderate in difficulty
Minimum Age
To take part in the Event, you must be at least twenty (20) years old at the latest on 31 December 2024.
Medical Certificate
All runners must provide a medical certificate (this is a legal requirement for taking part in running and cycling events in France) stating that there is no medical indication that they cannot take part in a competitive running event. Medical certificates must be uploaded to the runner’s personal account before the event.
The certificate must be dated less than a year prior to the date of the race and have the wording «running in competition », « athletics competition » or « sport in competition »).
When registering for the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, you will have to use an existing or create a new, online runner’s account.
Only if medical certificates have been uploaded to the runner’s account, can we deliver entries to the hotels. If your medical certificate has been refused or if you didn’t upload it, you will have to print it and bring it to the bib collection area at the Paris Marathon expo.

With Anna’s guidance, support and organisation I was off to Paris to run a marathon in 2015. Instead of this becoming an overwhelming daunting task, my only job was to concentrate on me; everything else was taken care of.
I had no logistical details whatsoever to worry about. Anna set up our training plan, guided us with dietary requirements, gave us the tips and tricks to running a successful marathon and then behind the scenes worked her magic to coordinate all our flights, accommodation, sight seeing trips, dinners and more.
At 50 years of age, I completed my first marathon. Just typing this now I feel quite emotional as it brings back such fantastic memories, such a great satisfaction and feeling so very proud, the whole experience was 100 per cent positive from beginning to end.
